The new, purpose-built Nursery is set in the grounds of Fairstead House and provides full time day care all year round to children aged from 12 months to 4 years old.
There are five bright, stimulating and child-friendly rooms, providing a real ‘home from home’ environment for the little ones. The rooms are Foals, Yearlings, Shetlands, Ponies 1 and Ponies 2. We prefer not to use the children’s ages to determine when the children move rooms; rather, we prefer a more child-led approach and your child will change rooms when both you and we think it appropriate. We will discuss any prospective room change with you well in advance and we ensure that the children’s transition to their next room is smooth.
The Nursery is open all year round (apart from Christmas week) from 7.30am until 6.00pm. We also offer the option of a term time only place.
Fairstead House is part of the Suffolk Early Years Funded Hours scheme for 3 and 4 year old children and we offer 15 funded hours per week for eligible children in the term after their third birthday. Please note that these hours may be taken during the afternoon sessions only and during Fairstead House’s term time. Further information on the funded hours may be found here.

If you would like to register your child with Fairstead House Nursery then please complete a registration form
If you would like to register your child with Fairstead House Nursery then please complete the registration form and return with a £100 registration fee to the Registrar.
