Admissions
The best way to decide whether or not we are the right school or nursery for you and your child is by visiting us. Prospective parents and their children can see the school in action on our official Open Mornings, which are held in the autumn and summer terms. However, every day is an ‘open day’, so if you would prefer to visit us at another time, please contact the School Office to arrange to a more convenient date. The Head, Mr. Michael Radford, would be delighted to meet with you and to give you a private tour of Fairstead House.
Once you have decided that we are the right school for your child the next step is to complete and return the registration form and fee.
Children can be accepted into the Nursery at any time, depending on our availability. The Nursery is extremely busy and, if we do not have the sessions you would like for your child available, you may put your child’s name on our waiting list. Priority for sessions will be given to siblings of children already at Fairstead House.
We welcome applications from older children into Reception and above where places are available. The children will be invited to attend an informal entry assessment and further details are available from the school office. Scholarships are available in a wide range of subjects such as academia, music, drama or sport from Year 5 onwards.

There is a registration fee of £100 to register your child with Fairstead House School & Nursery.
For the School, a deposit of £200 is payable two terms before entry and is returned when the child leaves the school. If a child is registered less than one term before entry, the deposit becomes payable immediately.
For the Nursery, you will be required to pay a deposit of 4 weeks’ Nursery fees in advance to secure your child’s place. This deposit will be held throughout your child’s time in the Nursery and returned to you at the end of your child’s time in the Nursery.
Nursery registration fees and a deposit are not charged if the child is in receipt of Early Years Funding and attends no additional sessions other than the funded hours.
