Fairstead in the Community

Fairstead seeks to plays an important role in the local community and works closely with local groups, organisations and charities.

A diverse range of local charities are regularly supported, including Racing Welfare who, in collaboration with Fairstead House, hold a Carol Concert each year, with our young musicians and choristers taking a leading part. Harvest Festival gifts collected at Harvest Festival service are distributed to the Open Door Charity – which works towards the rehabilitation of homeless people in the Newmarket area. Non uniform days are used to raise funds for the East Anglia Air Ambulance service or Jeans for Genes. The collections from our Lent and Ascension held at St Agnes Church each year are shared between the church and the Joe Homan Charity and supports a young girl through her studies in India.
